For many, the pink ribbon is not something to be worn for the month of October alone, but year-round. Millions of people around the world are affected with breast cancer, which remains the most common diagnosed cancer in women. Not surprisingly, many of us will know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, if not ourselves. As October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, numerous brands are showing their support by partnering with organisations like the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, The Pink Fund and countless others to bring awareness to the cause and encourage people to conduct regular breast exams to ensure any lumps or abnormalities are detected early.

According to Cancer Australia, it’s estimated that there will be at least 19,866 females newly diagnosed with breast cancer this year.

In 2017, breast cancer was the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia and the most common diagnosed cancer in females. It’s estimated that in 2021, a person will present a 1 in 15 risk of being diagnosed with the cancer by the age of 85.

If you’re keen to make an impact during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, you can do your part by shopping products that give back. From lifestyle to beauty brands, a number of them will be donating a percentage of sales from certain items to support breast cancer research and awareness. To help you make a difference, we’ve rounded up the products that are supporting breast cancer awareness this month that you can shop below.
