The annual survey of over 13,000 Australians determines the most innovative new products on our shelves, so it’s no surprise that on-trend cauliflower and broccoli rice was popular amongst health-conscious consumers.
The $3 pouches are a “quick and creative alternative to traditional rice and pasta” made from 100% Aussie vegetables.
“Winning Product of the Year is a huge stamp of approval from the Australian public,” Product of the Year Director, Sarah Connelly said. “Shoppers can be confident when they are buying products - whether it be fresh food, beauty items or larger purchases such as electric toothbrushes - that all the guess work has already been taken out by shoppers just like themselves.”
Other health buys that made the list include Coles’ healthy smoothies, ALDI’s Just Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, and ALDI’s Hillcrest Protein Bars.
And in the name of balance, Coles also took out chocolate of the year with their Belgian Chocolate range if you're after a sweet treat.
