One of the best ways to stay fit and healthy, increase energy levels, lose weight and improve the condition of our skin is by increasing the amount of nutrients that we get in our diet. Increasing our intake of fruits and vegetables is an important step towards good health however filling your plate with vegetables is not always that easy. Give your health a kick start by introducing smoothies into your daily diet to really give your body a boost of vitamins and antioxidants.

Fiona Tuck, Boost Juice's Nutrition and Skin Expert has created this Vitamin C packed smoothie to keep you going all day. Smoothies are easy to digest, filling and packed full of nutrients and make a delicious snack or on the go quick breakfast.

Ingredients

1 cup chopped pineapple

1 small handful of spinach, chopped

1 kiwi fruit, peeled and chopped

1 cup of coconut water

Method

  1. Blend all ingredients together in a blender until smooth.

     

    This smoothie is packed with Vitamin C. Vitamin C is especially effective at protecting cells from damage, fighting inflammation and strengthening the immune system. The adrenal glands need more vitamin C when we are under stress, so be sure to increase vitamin C-rich foods during stressful times. Foods high in vitamin C include berries, lemons, oranges, pineapple, kiwi, kale, parsley, greens.
