Incredibly, she's lost more than 80kg so far over the course of her weight loss journey. She's feeling great, and happy that she's living a healthier lifestyle, but there's one part of her body that's still adjusting to the new regime: her skin.
What many people aren't told when they start to lose weight is that their skin can often take time to catch up - it doesn't just shrink to adjust to your new shape. Instead, you can find loose skin and it can hang down.
Jessica posted about her skin on her Instagram, saying "This is my reality! This is my life! When you lose 180 pounds, the skin doesn't just suck back up! I have been learning to deal with it, even with wanting to lose a bit more weight and have surgery! This is my life until then and I will not hate my body anymore!"
Many of her followers commended her for showing this harsher reality of weight loss, with one saying "What you have accomplished is a miracle! Keep it up! You got this!".
Jessica also had to respond to some comments that claimed the skin was fake, taking this photo to show it in action.
"I've noticed some weird comments about how my loose skin is fake...it's real!!" she wrote. "Here it is in all its glory!"
Jessica's message has resonated with many, and she won't be discouraged from pursuing her fitness goals.
