Earlier this morning, Emily Ratajkowski announced that she had given birth to her baby, Sylvester Apollo Bear, via a sun-drenched photo of her breastfeeding.
“Sylvester Apollo Bear has joined us earth side,” she wrote. “Sly arrived 3/8/21 on the most surreal, beautiful, and love-filled morning of my life.”
Ratajkowski has been incredibly open with her pregnancy on Instagram, sharing a number of photos of her growing bump, "20 weeks getting to know my new body,” or simply “pregnant on a boat.”
She first announced her pregnancy to Vogue back in October alongside an essay about her view on motherhood and considered her opposition to the concept of a “gender reveal.” She wrote, “I like the idea of forcing as few gender stereotypes on my child as possible.”
“I’m completely and undeniably helpless when it comes to almost everything surrounding my pregnancy: how my body will change, who my child will be,” she concluded. “But I’m surprisingly unbothered. Instead of feeling afraid, I feel a new sense of peace. I’m already learning from this person inside my body. I’m full of wonder.”
