If anyone knows the importance of prioritising your mental health, it’s undoubtedly Britney Spears. Since bouncing back from her 2007 breakdown she’s been alllll about the gym-junkie life, working out daily (coz, endorphins) and sharing sweaty selfies with her 18 mill Insta followers on the reg.
But the mum-of-two is also practising wellness from the inside out – taking time to reclaim her sanity when she needs it.
“I love cardio and sweating, but overdoing anything just isn’t good,” she admitted in a recent post.
Instead, the singer has been skipping tredmill time in favour of quality time with her sons, Sean, 12, and Jayden, 11.
“It’s been nice working out a little less these last few weeks and enjoying my time off with my children!!!!,” she added.
Her fans were quick to praise her for putting her mental health first, with comments such as “Queen of maintaining a balanced lifestyle,” and “Enjoy the time with your sons.”
Lately, R&R with the fam seems to be Brit’s go-to self-care move.
After ending her four-year-long Las Vegas residency last month, she took her boys on a much-needed vacay to Hawaii.
Thanks, Brit, for the timely reminder that balance is key.
