The results found that white wine lovers were more likely to be night owls and extroverts, prefer cats to dogs, and listen to punk music. They were also identified as being curious, sarcastic, and perfectionists.
Red wine drinkers, on the other hand, were the opposite - they were more likely to be early birds, introverts, dog lovers, and prefer to listen to jazz music.
Their personality traits include being adventurous, humble, and organised.
Red wine drinkers were also more likely to see themselves as "wine afficionados", and consider it a turn off if their date wasn't knowledgeable about wine. They're also willing to spend more money on wine.
According to the survey, the average respondent drinks four glasses of wine per week, and regardless of their wine preference, the favourite place to drink was at home.
