A quick scroll through Tiff Hall's feed will tell you she’s fit AF. But the reality is, she doesn’t always feel at the top of her game.
Earlier this week, the PT shared a snap of her distended belly, to remind her followers that “life isn’t always the shredded selfies” you see on social media.
“I almost didn’t post this, but trainers have bad days too and it’s important to share the highs and lows with you,” she captioned the pic.
“There’s a reason I’ve been posting #throwback pics the last couple of days, and that’s because I’ve been hit with full on bloating (I’m not pregnant!!). Sensitive tum, TTOM [That Time Of The Month], stress bloating. It gets so bad sometimes my clothes don’t fit.”
She added: “I swear it’s like my gut has access to my calendar, cos my tummy often hits right before I’m about to shoot fitness videos.”
When her bloating strikes, the 34-year-old takes it as a cue to slow life down a little.
“Your body has a powerful way of reminding you about the importance of balance, so when the bloating hits that’s what I try to remember,” she said. “Don’t over train, over eat, over stress, over commit, overwhelm - you’ll end up worse in the long run.”
The same rules apply for the other end of the spectrum - under eating and under training.
“Your body (and gut) needs a balance of good food and movement to be happy. I’m often asked my number one tip for gut health and I say MOVE. Yup it can be uncomfortable, but it’ll make you feel better I promise."
Hear hear, Tiff.
