The high school cheerleader turned body builder has often detailed her workouts and goals on social media, inspiring her followers that being a mum is not a reason to give up exercising.
While the 22-year-old’s body bounces back faster than most (she showed off her stomach two weeks after giving birth to her second child in 2014), she has insecurities like anyone else.
In a recent lifting shot, Mackenzie showed off her stomach and described why she wanted to keep it real for her followers.
“I had this photo with a nice filter and edited to show less of what happened to my Tum tum after 3 babies all close to or more than 4.5 kilograms,” she captioned the Instagram photo. “Than I decided, NOPE. I have so many mummies who follow me who are striving to fall in love with their bodies and be comfortable in their own skin. It's only fair to be realistic.”
Mackenzie pointed out the flaws she sees in the photo, noting that her skin is loose and that she can “stick 4 fingers” between her abs, but even so she isn’t abandoning her dream of fitness modelling.
“I refuse to give up on my modelling dreams for that is not sending out a good message to mums who stopped believing in themselves and or lost confidence. So you all following me are a huge reason I strive everyday to show you that mum bodies are beautiful. Lose skin, stretch marks, ALL OF IT. We created humans,” she wrote. “so keep pushing hot mummas.”
