“Hello, Instagram. It’s Selena Gomez,” she began. “I first want to say, how are you guys doing? Actually, how are you doing? I think right now it is more important than ever to talk about mental health, which is a subject that is very personal to me. So I am asking you guys to take a break with me and I’m going to show you some of the things that help me stay positive during this time, and see if any of it resonates with you."
First on the list? Her Dialectical Behaviour Therapy books. “Every single day I’ll look at a worksheet or if there’s something I’m working on internally, I’ll just kind of find a chapter that relates to me.” Then, if she’s feeling up for it, she’ll head to her “make-shift studio” to do something creative (e.g. write and work on music.)

“I usually take a walk at night so I can get rid of the day a bit,” she continues. “And then I come home, take a shower, wash my face.”
At night she swears by a heating pad (“It’s almost like an anxiety blanket but it feels really nice.”) “I will sometimes journal. And I have these beautiful little face sprays, rosewater, [and] a candle to help me," she added, picking up her dog, Daisy. "We just kind of get into bed, I turn off all my electronics, and I just relax."
Honestly, it all sounds g-damn delightful. Thanks for sharing, Sel!
