While the Pitch Perfect star was all positive vibes following such an incredible transformation, she recently discovered an “interesting” byproduct of losing so much weight. Speaking to 2Day FM’s breakfast show Hughesy, Ed and Erin, Wilson told host Erin Molan that over the last 12 months she has noticed that people are treating her differently now that she’s slim.
“It’s interesting Erin, I like to think I looked good at all sizes and I’ve always been confident,” Wilson explained.
“It’s not like I wasn’t confident and now I’m confident. What’s been really interesting to me is how other people treat you. Sometimes being bigger, people didn’t look twice at you and now that I’m in good shape people offer to carry my groceries to the car and open doors for you. Is this what other people have experienced all the time?”
A common sentiment for sure, it’s interesting that someone as high profile as Wilson has started experiencing it, especially as Wilson stressed the fax that she wanted to still look like herself and not appear too skinny.
“The goal was never to be skinny,” she said in an Instagram live back in December.
“It was never to fit into a certain dress size. I put in a goal weight in there because I needed some tangible thing… I think it was time. What I’m proud of myself is doing that and having a lot more balance now in my life.”
