Now the royal, alongside her husband Jack Brooksbank, has shared the news of her birth to a beautiful baby boy.
While the official royal family account shared a post that read "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital," princess Eugenie herself took to Instagram herself to share a gorgeous black and white photograph of her new son's hand to announce the news. Her picture was shared alongside a caption of just three blue hearts with two exclamation marks.
Reports have confirmed that proud dad Jack Brooksbank was present at the birth, and that the baby weighed a solid 8lbs 1oz (about 3.7kg).
We first heard about the pregnancy in September last year, when the Princess shared a photo of adorable little baby slippers on Instagram with the caption: "Jack and I are so excited for early 2021..." And early in 2021 it was, coming just six weeks into the new year.
While we don't have word one the name yet, we're betting it will be one of these.
The princess, who is an ambassador for The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (where she opened a children’s wing known as ‘Princess Eugenie House’) has previously taken to Instagram about more personal issues, like her scoliosis diagnosis.
"In 2002, when I was 12 years old, I was diagnosed with scoliosis (curvature of the spine), and told that I would need corrective surgery,” she wrote. “This was, of course, a scary prospect for a 12-year-old; I can still vividly remember how nervous I felt in the days and weeks before the operation.”
"After three days in intensive care, I spent a week on a ward and six days in a wheelchair, but I was walking again after that,” she added.
