ICYMI in astronomy class, a new moon happens when Earth lines up with the sun, making the moon seem all but invisible from the earth. There are 12 new moons a year, and each is synced up with a different astrological sign.
This new moon is happening in the sign of Aquarius, and the energy is "really intense," Page says. Why? The moon's connected with the planet Uranus, which likes to bring sudden changes or shocks.

As a result, you’ll crave some serious change in your life. And, okay, you did vow to change things on January 1 but, ya know, life has a weird way of stopping you from making ~actual~ change. This new moon is here to make it happen for reals.
At the same time, you’ll find yourself dreaming of bigger and better things. Like, why can’t you quit your job and move across the country to try something totally new? The only thing stopping you is you, after all.
Btw, all those cravings for change could cause a little…tension in your love life. Basically, you and your S.O. will need to shake things up, too, or you’ll risk mentally checking out—and that’s never a good thing.
