CareerCast.com has released its annual list of the 10 most stressful jobs and unsurprisingly those in the armed forces and emergency services come out on top for obvious reasons - their life being in danger and all - but many others on the list might just come as a surprise.
According to the site, career and money are the two leading - and consistent - causes of stress. And while stress is often unavoidable (unless you don't care about keeping your job that is) it varies greatly between jobs and professions. While some jobs pose life-threatening risk like say a firefighter, others may be stressful due to things like strict deadlines or being susceptible to public scrutiny.

The jobs were evaluated according to these 11 core factors:

- Career Growth Potential
- Physical Demands
- Environmental Conditions
- Hazards Encountered
- Meeting the Public
- Competition
- Risk of Death or Grievous Injury
- Immediate Risk of Another's Life
- Deadlines
- Working in the Public Eye
