With work emails to respond to, Insta feeds to lurk and new eps of Dirty John to binge, chances are brushing up up on the anatomy of your milk ducts isn’t that high on the priority list. But, friends, take our word for it: it’s worth the Google search – at the very least to see what all the fuss is about on Twitter rn.
You see, earlier this week a woman with the username Artist Formerly Known As Byeonce shared a detailed image of the female muscular system –and honestly, it’s very enlightening.
“I just realised I never saw a photo of a female muscle system. This is NOT what I imagined milk ducts to look like,” she wrote.
And clearly, many others were just as unaware of exactly how the human body works: the post has since been retweeted more than 45 thousand times and received a flood of comments.
“I DON’T WANT BREASTS ANYMORE,” one person said, summing it up rather nicely.
Here are a few of our favourite responses:
Heaps of people merely questioned why they’d never seen an image like it before.
“It’s only freaking people out because it’s not normalised because of the patriarchy showing us a man’s body in biology class,” one user reasoned, gaining more than 10,000 likes for the post.
“It just shows how often male anatomy is shown vs the lack of full representation of women,” another added.
