Miley Cyrus is ripped. Insanely, positively, undeniably ripped. One only need to ask her hubby Liam Hemsworth for proof.
Taking to Insta yesterday, the 29-year-old actor penned a touching tribute to his wifey’s crop top-clad rig. “Abs like a ninja turtle 🐢,” he wrote.
Judging by the fact that the pic of the pair has been liked more than 843,442 times in less than 24 hours, it’s safe to assume that everyone else is thinking what we’re thinking - how the heck did she get so fit?
Truth be told, the She Is Coming singer keeps annoyingly tight-lipped about her healthy habits. But we do know three things for sure:
1. She’s a dedicated yogi
Miley practices Ashtanga – a physically demanding style of yoga that specifically helps with core strength and flexibility - six days a week. She often shares snaps of herself twisted into tricky poses and credits the gruelling training with helping her stay sane.
2. She swears by pilates
The 26-year-old is a huge fan of Mari Winsor Pilates – in fact, she once installed a studio at her home specifically so the celebrity PT could train her there.
Her go-to move? “A sidekick series on the Cadillac for legs and butt, then plenty of ab work,” Mari told PEOPLE. "It's at least a half an hour of working out … You have to learn how to not just tighten up your tummy but actually pull your tummy into your lower back as much as you can."
3. She sticks to a strict vegan diet
As a self-confessed animal lover, Miley is all for living a plant-based lifestyle. In fact, she’s so passionate about the cause that she got the Vegan Society’s sunflower logo tattooed on her upper left arm.
For those not in the know, vegans avoid meat, fish, dairy, eggs (and anything else that’s made by harming animals, e.g. honey). And while she does it for environmental and ethical reasons, studies show that being vegan may lead to significant weight loss too.
