According to a new BBC survey of more than 3,000 adults, men are more likely than women to justify cheating on their partner. In fact, 80 per cent of females believe it’s “never acceptable” to do the dirty vs just 64 per cent for blokes. Interestingly, three in five adults who consider themselves part of this camp admitted to straying in previous relationships. In addition, 83 per cent said they felt a “significant” responsibility to remain faithful.
The main takeaway? Not everyone practices what they preach. It's understandable that individuals have different attitudes towards monogamy but if you're in an exclusive relationship, the rules are pretty clear. Except to 36 per cent of dudes, it seems.
