Though Married At Sight has finished for another year, having witnessed the journey of these couples for the duration of the show, we now find ourselves invested in the futures of those who chose to stay together. The cameras may have stopped filming, but thankfully there’s always social media to keep a hungry public satiated when it comes to the goings-on of our favourite reality TV couples.

They were touted as the more controversial couple on the show, but even despite all the chaos that seemed to surround the relationship of Bryce and Melissa, the pair expressed a devotion and fierce loyalty to one another that you couldn’t help but find somewhat inspiring. While you could question Bryce’s intentions throughout the experiment and the way he chose to express himself, it also bears noting that where most couples faltered, Bryce and Melissa stayed strong throughout.

Now, the couple is set to reveal some exciting news, taking to Instagram to tease an upcoming announcement that will surely prove entertaining. On their Instagram stories, the couple shared a photo alongside the caption: “Exciting Announcement coming 6pm AEST TONIGHT!”

It’s since been revealed that the pair will be launching their very own podcast, thanks to a deal struck with Jay Walkerden’s Podshape. Radio Today reports that the podcast will be titled What Happens After and is offering up a “warts and all look at the development of a relationship.” It’s an interesting premise but given the drama that unfolded on MAFS, you have to wonder if the couple will be all that interesting without it. Or, if they will in fact create their own drama to sustain audience attention.

Given that Bryce was previously a radio announcer at Southern Cross Austereo’s Hit 104.7 in Canberra, departing only to appear on MAFS, a podcast sounds like a logical step for the guy who suddenly found himself cast as this year’s TV villain. The pair will discuss topics together that include everything from whether they’ll get married for real, how they plan to raise children, and what their families make of their life together.

“The bad things have definitely been the trolls and the lack of understanding around our relationship,” Melissa said in the trailer for the upcoming podcast series.

In a statement released to Radio Today, Melissa added, “I’m looking forward to showing our relationship for what it actually is and giving insight into Bryce and myself.” To this, Bryce added, “We met in usual circumstances but we’re just like any normal couple, I’m excited to let people inside our lives and our relationships.”

The podcast, What Happens After, will launch May 4, 2021 and will run for 10 episodes. You can listen to a sneak peek here.
