But when it comes to adjusting to her new lifestyle (and figure), she’s got the wisdom of someone who’s been at a lot longer.
“I’ve realised that by body will never go back to what it was,” she recently Shape. “It’s interesting because it’s something I was actually kind of worried about before getting pregnant – I thought it was going to be very difficult for me to adjust to my new body, because I obviously didn’t just expect to bounce back.”

The 32-year-old gained almost 16kg while pregnant with her son Liam James. And while she’s nearly back to her pre-pregnancy weight – thanks to her affinity for boot camp-style fitness classes, strength training and hiking – she’s embracing her new-found curves.
“Even though I look a little different I’m just so in awe of the fact that I was able to make a person. So I’m proud of my body in that way.”
“I’m not so critical of my flaws because, big picture, it was a very small price to pay. I was much kinder to myself than I expected to be.”
Being a parent has also prompted The Hills star to rethink her approach to exercise. These days, she’s all about multi-tasking.
“If I’m going to workout, I always do it with a girlfriend,” she said. “If I’m able to catch up with a friend and get in that time while also being active, that’s always a win.”
She also makes sure to take time out for herself whenever she needs it – whether it’s long bath or simply putting on a face mask. It’s these moments that provide Lauren with clarity on what really matters in life and allow her to be fully present when she’s with her son.
“Most nights I take an epsom salt bath and just take my quiet time once my kid goes down. I do like adding lavender oil to relax, or sometimes if I just worked out and am sore I'll use a peppermint epsom salt,” she explained.
