So what's behind the extra energy? Well, the actor's nutritionist, Kelly LeVeque, has revealed the meal that gets her off to a good start and protein is non-negotiable.
"The majority of research shows that [protein is] what helps to regulate hunger hormones," LeVeque – who also works with Emmy Rossum, Jessica Alba, Molly Sims, and many more – told Women's Health. "If you get enough protein to start your day, people eat less throughout the day have less food anxiety and less cravings."
LeVeque’s signature "Fab Four" smoothie is one of Garner's go-to breakfasts, packing a heft 20 grams of protein. Ingredients include chocolate coconut collagen protein powder, almond butter, flax or chia seeds, spinach, frozen berries, almond milk and hemp hearts.
