But, if you’re determined never to part from your fave liquid lipstick (of which we can totally relate), we have a clever little trick that could seriously change your lip game.
On Reddit’s Makeup Addiction subreddit, one Redditor revealed an easy way to add a little hydration kick to your liquid lipsticks for smoother, more comfortable lips. And it’s so darn simple we can’t believe we’ve never thought of it ourselves.
Upon running low on her favourite Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick in Baci, zershia77 discovered that adding a few(grab some from your local health food store) works an absolute dream for nixing that dry feeling.
“When I started running out of my favorite color Baci, I decided to add a few drops of almond oil to see how it changed the wear and also just to get every last drop of product out of the tube,” wrote zershia77.
“Turns out I much prefer the formulation with a little oil in it. It doesn't seem to change the look of it and it still wears all day long. There is slight transfer on my coffee mug in the morning, but all in all it’s still a long wearing liquid lipstick that dries down matte.”
Pretty nifty, huh?
In response to the original post, other Reddit users praised zershia77 for this little slice of wisdom.
“I have not tried this but I will now!” wrote Midnight_Flowers. “I find a lot of liquid lips too dry for me so this could help.”
Another Reddit user who goes by the name of isamilicious, commented: “I absolutely despise liquid lips because they dry out my lips so I might try the almond oil since I love the color of Baci and it is probably the only liquid lip I use.”
