The 35-year-old yogi and wellness guru—and wife to actor Alec Baldwin—has always been pretty transparent about the behind-the-scenes life of her famous family. She and Alec share four children—Carmen, 5; Rafael, 3; Leonardo, 2; and baby Romeo, 10 months.

"So, this is what is going on now: the embryo has heartbeat, but it isn't strong, and the baby isn't growing very much," Hilaria continued. "So we wait—and this is hard. So much uncertainty...but the chances are very, very small that this is a viable pregnancy."
Hilaria said she decided to post about her experience to help "normalise miscarriage and remove the stigma from it." Her experience is far from uncommon: At least 10 percent of recognised pregnancies end in a miscarriage, per the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Hilaria also got very real about the discomfort of the first three months, in general. "There is so much secrecy during the first trimester. This works for some, but I personally find it to be exhausting. I’m nauseous, tired, my body is changing. And I have to pretend that everything is just fine—and it truly isn’t. I don’t want to have to pretend anymore. I hope you understand."
Kudos to Hilaria for being strong enough to share her story with the world.
