“I thought, ‘OK, I’m out of the movie, they are going to replace me because you know the show has to go on,'” she explained. “We don't know how it happened. I worked for a little while with broken ribs until I could no longer do it."
Thankfully, her director Chad Stahelski waited for her to heal. “He pushed the production a little bit,” she said. And when I came back I actually felt better.” In fact, it wasn’t long before she was back in the “best shape” of her life.
“It’s hours and hours of stunt training, it’s gun training, it’s dog training, and then it’s just strength training on top of that. I would do my strength training with my trainer. It’s watching my diet,” she said.
Via Instagram, Halle shared a snippet of the gruelling regime:
“Working with @chadstahelski, @heidimoneymakerand the entire @87elevenaction stunt team was one of the best experiences of my career,” she captioned the video. “While I was extremely loved and cared for, I was also challenged to dig deeper day after day to realise my true warrior within. Today I share one of my training videos. I hope it will motivate you to dig deeper than you ever thought you could and find your warrior!”
Mad props to you, Halle.
