Here's How Gisele Bündchen Is Staying Fit AF Ahead Of Turning 40

Gisele Bündchen, goddess, environmental activist, and other half to NFL quarterback Tom Brady turns 40 this year. TBH, though, she hasn't changed much in the past 20 years, which is about when the model and mum-of-two started figuring out a routine that keeps her fit (and sane) by exercising regularly and practicing mindfulness.

1. She’s been practicing yoga for almost half her life.

Gisele actually found meditation through yoga, which she turned to as a means of supporting her mental health. When her panic attacks became overwhelming, Gisele says she started praying for a solution. “It came to me, the idea of yoga,” she told Cooper.

She started taking classes from a teacher, who she says would come to her home at 5:30 every morning. “Once I felt like I knew enough of how to do it, I started practicing by myself.” Now, her Instagram feed is filled with images of her impressive skills, like this king dancer pose.

The thing she loves the most about yoga? “You can do it anywhere. All you need is a tiny space to do a few asanas and to sit and do a five-minute meditation.”

I love being in the middle of nature. Taking off my shoes and walking barefoot, watching the birds flying, surfing early in the morning and watching the sun rise, are some of the things that bring me the most joy. For her birthday (which is July 20, btw), Gisele told Vogue that she likes to go to Costa Rica with her family. There, they spend their time surfing, horseback riding, and doing yoga. (#goals) TBD on whether or not she'll be able to usher in her next decade doing all of the above, but a girl can dream.

4. Gisele is all about hitting the trails.

Whether it’s taking a walk in the park or going for a hike, she told Cooper that just being in nature gives her an energy boost.
