Dara Hayes (aka, DJ Tigerlily) is practically a poster child for wellness. 

She works out multiple times a week, has envy-enducing abs and that unmistakable glow of someone who eats a sh*t-ton of fruit and veggies. But the 26-year-old didn’t always have such a healthy attitude towards diet and exercise.

“I used to be kind of unhealthy,” she captioned a before-and-after shot on Instagram. “Lots of drinking, eating junk food at bad times of the evening 3am after my DJ shows) and not exercising regularly. However, I changed two things in my life, and my body (and mind) changed accordingly.”

The two best things I ever did for my body and health?!?! #1: Eat a whole food plant based diet #2: Do weight training 3-5 times per week That's it! Simples! 🌱🌱💪💪

Her first point of business? Adopting a whole food plant-based diet. The second was committing to weight training 3-5 times per week.

“That’s it! Simples!” she added. “Small steps day by day create huge results over time.”

Earlier this year, Dara opened up to FEMAIL about her history with yo-yo dieting, admitting she would fluctuate between 50-65kg throughout her teenage years.

“It’s only been in the past two or three years that I can confidently say I’ve worked through it,” she said. “I went and got some hypnotherapy which helped tremendously. It was the best thing I could have done at the time.”

I take my @tropeaka shaker and protein whenever I go, even travelling on the road. Every DJ will know that we skip meals like crazy because of the travel times and weird work times, so bringing this with me helps so much! My favourite flavour is the vanilla but I'm so excited to try the new Salted Caramel!
