This Friday night when you’ve poured yourself a glass of vino, put Friends on for the eleventy-millionth time and applied your favourite clay mask, why drop your dacks and do the same to your derriere.
Yep, “butt masking” is officially a thing.
Beauty brand Anese is behind the movement to make “booty care” a top priority with their masks and scrubs made specifically for your buns. They say the products will target stretch marks and unwanted blemishes, while firming, softening and plumping your peach.
And the reviews are pretty convincing.
“I've never thought that I'll be buying a scrub for my booty and it will work like magic! I swear to god feels like a baby's bottom!” wrote one buyer.
“Bought both the scrub and the mask for my booty ... and ladies, let me tell ya... WORTH EVERY PENNY AND THEN SOME! The scrub especially is AMAZING!!! I’ve boughten so many booty products and I’ve never had such positive results… Smoothest, acne lacking booty I’ve had in a while,” commented another.
Buttne is a common complaint, especially amongst heavy exercisers. Dermatologist Debra Jaliman told Women’s Health that the blemishes aren't actually acne, "The bumps are formed by dead skin cells and bacteria in the hair follicles."
Aside from exfoliating products, opting for looser, cotton-based bottoms when you can and showering straight after a sweat sesh will help.
