On Monday, Constance Hall took to Facebook to share a snap of her young daughter Snow riding in a trolley that was filled to the brim with instant noodles, yoghurt, bread and butter.
But the seemingly run-of-the-mill pic outraged her millions of followers, who quickly flooded the mum-of-four’s post with their disapproving comments.
“For f**** sake,” Constance hit back. “Getting mum judged on your anti mum judging page. Then everyone attacks the judgey mum even though you’re an advocate for women sticking together.”
“And if I was to drink the stiff bottle of scotch that this thread made me want to drink I’d be judged for that. The bananas and celery and carrots and potatoes and onions and garlic and mandarins and apples aren’t visible in this picture,” she continued.
“Wasn’t thinking about trolley angles, I also buy a lot of fruit from the markets and Denim’s mum is bringing us fresh fruit from her trees today. Should I post the receipt?”
She also clarified that her haul was feeding a family of nine, with the bill totalling in excess of $350.
After Constance deleted most of the negative comments, many fans came out in support of the 33-year-old.
“I knew people would start analysing the contents of the trolley. She’s a mum feeding her family. Well done mum,” one user wrote.
“Seriously peeved about the healthy food comments. I buy my fruit and veg and meat separately to my pantry items so it may look like I buy junk as well,” added another.
