Via Instagram, the Modern Family actress shared a few clips of herself doing a super intense butt workout at the gym. On the menu? Weighted sumo squats and deadlifts standing on two benches (for better range of motion, obvs).
“I know I missed #motivationmonday so here is #tuesdaymotivation with @mackfit,” she captioned the post. “I am never the most excitedddd person to go to the gym, but feeling healthier and seeing the work you put in pay off really makes it worth it. Also… @mackfittraininggym is a BOSS and keeps reminding me of my booty goals.”

The best part? These moves work plenty of other body parts too. Take sumo squats, for example, which are one of the best ways to get the inner thighs burning while simultaneously improving core strength.
"The sumo squat is a great lower-body strength exercise that emphasises the muscles of the inner thigh, as well as the glutes, quads, hamstrings, hip flexors and calves," Lisa Niren, head instructor for Studio, previously told Shape.
"Based on your core strength, you might find the sumo squat adds a challenge to your balance because your body is in a different alignment and needs extra stability to keep from moving forward and back on the heels.”
Deadlifts, on the other hand, are epic for the entire posterior chain (e.g. lower back, glutes and hamstrings.) But, if you suck your belly button to your spine as you do them, you’ll build a sweet set of abs too. Bonus.
Thanks for the sweat’spo, Ariel.
