This Trainer Dropped A Major Truth Bomb About Post-Holiday Weight Gain

Some days, despite what John Mayer’s lyrical genius would have you believe, you just don’t feel like your body is indeed a wonderland. Dw, Anna Victoria gets it: the trainer recently took to Insta to share that she too is feeling a little ‘meh’ lately, thanks to a stint overseas, little to no exercise and a whole lotta pasta.

“I wanted to share this video to document where I’m at and keep it real with you all,” she captioned the post. “I’m not upset with where I’m at, but as hard as it is to show this on Instagram since it’s a visual platform, the biggest difference is in how I feel.”

“Travelling for a few weeks and not working out regularly made my energy levels dip, not to mention eating 50/50 (as necessary as it is in the moment) still leaves me feeling a bit sluggish and triggers digestive issues for me. So, I’m excited to get back to my usual routine of working out and eating 80/20!”

Hi girls! I wanted to share this video to document where I'm at and keep it real with you all. I want to preface this by saying I'm not upset with where I'm at at all, but as hard as it is to show this on Instagram since it's a visual platform, the biggest difference is in how I feel. Traveling for a few weeks and not working out regularly made my energy levels dip, not to mention eating 50/50 (as necessary as it is in the moment) still leaves me feeling a bit sluggish and triggers digestive issues for me. So I'm excited to get back to my usual routine of working out and eating 80/20! Since I'm still on my fertility journey, I'm not looking to lose weight necessarily, but I do want to work out, feel strong, and eat healthy because it's when helps me feel my best mentally and emotionally, which is so important for both a fitness and a fertility journey. I'll update you girls in 4 weeks, I hope you'll be kicking 🍑 with me!!

In the clip, the 30-year-old turns around to show the camera every side of her body. At one stage, she even pulls down the top of her high-waisted leggings and pinches the skin on her stomach.

“I guess people do physical updates when they’re seeing progress,” she tells her 1.2mil followers. “Mine is kind of the opposite.”

And while there’s nothing wrong with loosening the reins a little on vacay (a girl’s gotta live!) it’s the change in her mindset – not necessarily her body – that’s inspiring her to get back into her healthy habits.

"I'm not looking to lose weight necessarily, but I do want to work out, feel strong, and eat healthy because it's [what] helps me feel my best mentally and emotionally, which is so important for both a fitness and a fertility journey," she wrote. "I’ll update you girls in 4 weeks, I hope you’ll be kicking [butt] with me!!"
