In the post on Instagram, her long-time lawyer details how the "exercise" rendered the comedian unable to perform simple tasks like walking and picking up her child.
"Your blatant disregard of Ms. Schumer's physical wellbeing can only be interpreted as a deliberate effort to cause Ms. Schumer emotional distress, physical injury and lost revenue," it reads. "It may even be determined to be a violation of her human rights."
The letter demands the immediate end to "such torment" and the modification of training sessions to "ameliorate such pain and suffering", plus a few threats regarding litigation and punitive damages.
“Best QUASI-testimonial I’ve ever received? I’m totally suing you for getting in shape too fast! @amyschumer it’s not my fault! @3girls1keith,” Fisher responded in her own post on Instagram.
“Amy told me after several of our sessions, ‘You will be hearing from my lawyer,’ ” Fisher told E!. “Like, without even saying bye. And then, when I finally heard from her lawyer, I opened the letter and I actually got goosebumps. I had a moment of, ‘Was she serious? Is my career totally over?’ “
All jokes aside, Schumer went on to describe her trainer as "amazing" and "the reason I feel strong and good and have recovered from my herniated discs and c section."
"Was this is a wasteful use of resources? Very very much so but it brought me so much joy."
